i've checked out quite a few old structures on the humber. old fence lines, some old buildings ruins, even old wells (springs/wet areas are quite a challange when building trail). even thought about how "wigwam's" where built



cedar wood is the material of choice hands down. it is an easy wood to cut and shape with an axe or tool. as well as being decay resistant, thus easy to scavenge from deadfall.


the bark can be even woven or used as a roofing material. it's a natural choice trail features built with hand tools. though it takes a bit of re-learned skill how to scavenge, split, cut, shape and peel...

got my new derailer to replace the last two i busted

so we went 4x4ing in the bush.  trails are everywhere, very easy to get lost.



need to drive with locked axles most of the time




sometimes we had to make our own trail


this was very cool.  due to the low water levels we drove along a river for quite some time.
